Florence Nightingale e suas contribuições para o controle das infecções hospitalares

Abstract

Tratou-se de uma revisão sistemática de literatura e que analisou as contribuições de Florence Nightingale contra a infecção hospitalar. Para desenvolvimento deste estudo, foi eleito um universo de 27 publicações, adquiridas junto as bases de dados BVS, SABER-USP, e PUBMED. Por meio do presente estudo foram percebidas as contribuições de Florence Nightingale no combate e controle aos processos de infecção hospitalar, influenciando inclusive na administração e arquitetura hospitalar, inclusive em âmbito internacional, reconhecidamente por profissionais de saúde e de outras áreas do conhecimento. No qual esse trabalho permitiu identificar a importância do impacto da Teoria Ambientalista, por meio da atenção concedida ao paciente em diversas ações, no qual foi incorporada na enfermagem através de seu legado mesmo ainda em uma era pré-bacteriológica.It was a systematic review of literature, and that analyzed the contributions of Florence Nightingale against hospital infection. For the development of this study, was elected a universe of 27 publications, acquired along the databases BVS, SABER-USP, and PUBMED. By means of the present study were perceived the contributions of Florence Nightingale in combat and control hospital infection processes, influencing even in hospital architecture and administration, including internationally recognised by health professionals and other areas of knowledge. In which this work has allowed us to identify the importance of the impact of the environmentalist Theory, through the attention given to the patient in several actions, on which has been incorporated in nursing through his legacy even still in an age pre-bacteriological.
